When Fashion’s Night Out, the brainchild of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, debuted last fall as a prelude to New York Fashion Week, its goals were simple: get the public excited about fashion and energized about shopping all while giving a much needed boost to retailers’ bottom lines during sour economic times. Indeed, with personal appearances, trunk shows and entertainment, the crowds came out, thronging stores in the world’s fashion capitals. Polished by Chrome is a sister store to the men and women’s apparel store Chrome, which is also located in Royal Oak. Polished has only been open for a little more than two months and is already the talk of the town when it comes to accessories.
