Spa Week has arrived and many of you need time for yourself! But what’s waiting for you at the spa? I’m glad you asked! Let me tell you about some of my favorite luxury treatments that are more than necessary!
Most spas that are participating in “Spa Week”, have their own special treatments they would like to introduce to you that may not be on this list…but while your there getting your worries and stress rubbed away…ask for some of these wonderful services that make your skin glow bright and your mind, body and spirit glow even brighter!
This is a 1 hour and 15 minute miracle facial relieving tension and stress around the face with essential oils that feel and smell good all at once. Some spas include a hand, foot and scalp massage with this treatment, followed by a customized mask and moisturizer.
Deep Pore Cleansing Facial
This deep-cleansing facial rids face of excess oils and bacteria leaving skin looking clearer and healthier! This facial includes cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and a designated acne mask to place skin in the first phase of healing. This is great, great, great, when it’s that time of the month and your hormones are taking a toll on your skin! Well worth 1 hour of relaxation!
The traditional European facial includes cleansing, exfoliating and a relaxing facial massage. This is typically a 1 hour massage that ends with a arm and hand massage.
PEELS & WRAPS
This peel stimulates cell growth, removing dead skin cells, reducing lines and wrinkles, age spots and hyper pigmentation. With all this what else is there?!
A great peel for mommies like you and I that suffer from Melasma after having our lovely children. Best for acne prone and oily skin, as well as skin affected by rosacea. This necessary peel refines your pores leaving skin smooth and baby soft.
Hydrotherapy Body Wrap
This is a wonderful way to treat your mommy body after all the hard work it has been through! While your relaxing, enjoying a hydrating facial, the rest of your body is wrapped in an intense hydrating cream. Excellent for dry, dehydrated skin and takes aproxximately 1 hour and 30 minutes! Did you hear that? What I said was 1 hour and 30minutes all to your peaceful lovely self with no kids screaming in the background! Ahhhhh, Heaven!
Hot Stone Massage
This is an enjoyable massage where warm, flat, smooth, stones are placed on key points of the body. During the massage, the therapist may also use individual stones to rub out knots and tough spots leaving you feeling calm and relaxed in no time. This is great for individuals suffering from poor circulation, depression and back pain.
If this doesn’t soothe your aching feet after wearing those 4 inch heels, nothing will! This is heaven trust me! Reflexology is a form of foot massage focusing on key points on the feet that correspond to specific parts of the body. For instance, the tips of the toes correspond with the head, the heart and chest correspond with the ball of the foot, and the lower back and intestines correspond with the heel of the foot. It is believed when these pressure points on the feet are massaged, your key and corresponding organs will benefit, promoting good health.
A special massage for the mom-to-be to help circulation in the legs and relieve depression and stress. It’s a great way to feel weightless, calm and refreshed! This is what every pregnant woman needs! Not recommended for mom’s in their first trimester.
Full Body Massage
This is a massage where the entire body gets attention! From the back to the legs, neck, shoulders and arms, all in one visit, a full body massage can relieve stress where you didn’t even know you had it! This treatment is a great stress reliever yes, but is also great for back pain, depression, arthritis, migraines, headaches, and muscles strains and sprains. This massage is a wonderful way to feel new again!
No matter what therapy or treatment you decide on, use Spa Week to pamper yourself. If your not interested in any of the above luxuries, at least take time out for a manicure or pedicure. Don’t forget to always take care of yourself! Happy moms have happy families!
