Maria’s Runway to Freedom

Katerina Bocci participated in a heartfelt event supporting the Turning Point of Macomb County, a group that helps and supports victims of domestic violence, last Friday.   The event was held at the San Marino Club in Troy.  Supporters enjoyed a sit down dinner, cash bar and a very glamorous fashion show, showcasing  gowns from Katerina Bocci’s collection. 

Runway Salon and Spa also supported the event by providing some of their best team members to “Glam” the models up with up do’s and avant garde make up.   Runway’s Glam team,  who truly loves what they do, really stepped it up for the event.  

Usually at events like this, charities only receive a portion of the proceeds made, but all of the proceeds from this event were donated to The Turning Point.  Several times backstage, while the models were dressing, Katerina was quick to remind the girls to listen to  the speech that was being given out on stage.  Obviously a charity Katerina strongly supports and respects, her professionalism and kind heart proved this event meant more to her than advertising.  “It’s important”, she told everyone back stage. 

Katerina is a true designer indeed, but even more, a great person who cares and is willing to help others when she can, and to us, that’s Glamorous!
