Even though fall is fast approaching, we are still experiencing some warm days across the U.S. This past week in Detroit, the temps have been in the pleasant high 70’s to low 80’s. Two weeks ago in New York, I experienced some scorching days in the mid 90’s. With that being said, the hot temps make it a bit harder to think about fall’s textured tweeds in darker jewel tones. Many of us are still thinking of and dressing in lighter, thinner fabrics in bright summer hues.
But soon enough we will have to start making sure our closets are full of fall clothes and just because it’s a little warm now doesn’t mean we can’t stock up with a few yummy fall trends. One “never goes out of style” trend that is an absolute “must-have” is tweed. Make sure when you do shop for fall, tweed is on your list.
Tweed skirts, blazers and pants are all acceptable. On a budget? Buy a tweed suit with either pants or a pencil skirt as your staple. The jacket, pant, and/or skirt can be worn together, and separate with other clothes in your closet such as a button down silk blouse or a fitted sweater belted at the waist. There’s a long list of possibilities, go ahead and buy the suit and have fun mixing and matching it’s separates with other pieces in your closet.
