If you’re looking for a yoga retreat to take all the stress away, I have the retreat for you. Going on right now is the Wanderlust Festival in O’ahu. Wanderlust O’ahu takes place at a destination I like to call heaven, others call it Turtle Bay Resort.
Turtle Bay is an oasis on Hawaii’s unforgettable North Shore. A haven for those who love the salty air and the sweet ocean smell, not to mention the gift of daily warm and invigorating sunshine. I’ve been to many beautiful places, but by far, O’ahu is the absolute most naturally beautiful. It is a place I hold dear to my heart and will never let it go.
Wanderlust’s mission is to help yogis find their true North. It’s not a final destination rather a journey and a yearning to connect to your life’s purpose. And that’s exactly what I like to do when I attend Wanderlust……connect…..to my life’s purpose. Nothing speaks to me more than the ocean waves and a quiet summer breeze along with some much needed “me” time without interruption.
What’s great about the Wanderlust O’ahu Festival is you can make your own schedule during three days of soul pampering and body healing fun. In between yoga sessions, my favorite thing to do is escape to the resort’s famous Kuilima Point, and take in the heavenly views of the majestic shoreline. It’s also always fun to walk the miles of beachside trails on foot or via horseback. It’s quite easy, when you have no distractions, to find your true north. Especially when you’re on the North Shore.
It’s easy to get lost in this heavenly place and if I stayed for a month or two…it still wouldn’t be long enough to take it all in…Thank goodness for the festival to keep me on track. During Wanderlust, I noticed beginner and well-seasoned yogis were equally accepted. Since I fall right in the middle, I had an amazing time connecting in the depth of the sessions as well as connecting socially. Classes for all levels and styles are available to keep your body and mind in tune.
Aside from meditation classes, yoga sessions and private massages oceanside, music is a key component of Wanderlust festivals. Guests can enjoy DJ-powered yoga classes, acoustic beachside meditations (mine was in the tent photo below) and fun main stage performances each night. Personally, I loved them all as each are so unique! During the day on property, soulful shopping, fresh coconut and organic meals are also available. And, for the beauty buffs Aveda presents The Beauty Bar to guests for complimentary treatments and the chance to sample a collection of their organic and eco-friendly beauty products.
If you have any questions regarding planning your trip, Turtle Bay Resort or Wanderlust, I’d love to help answer any that you may have. Just leave me a message below! Click here to learn more about Wanderlust O’ahu. If not this year, try to attend next year. You deserve this. I promise!
