In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, a fun filled event called BRAvo has been planned for Wednesday, October 12, 2011. BRAvo will feature a live auction of celebrity autographed bras and a displayof winning bras from a decorating challenge held this past  Summer.  The BRAvo decorating challenge was created to allow individuals to show their creativity in support of breast cancer survivors and community education behind the deadly disease.

Bravo Night will be hosted by WNIC and Fox 2 Detroit’s Jay Towers and will take place on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, BRAtini bar and cocktails.  The event will celebrate 35 celebrity-autographed bras during both the live and silent auctions. Celebrities who autographed bras for this special event include; Kid Rock, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and more.

Proceeds from BRAvo will benefit the Mount Clemen’s Regional Ted B. Wahby Cancer Center to provide assistance and care for women in the community. A portion of the proceeds will assist in providing free screening mammograms. The Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center and the Ted B. Wahby Cancer Center are hosting this event in hopes that BRAvo will help the increase of breast cancer awareness.

Models ages 6-26 will be wearing outfits consisting of items donated to the upscale resale store. Proceeds from the event will support local employment, training and job placement programs within Metro Detroit.

Cucksey and a Goodwill representative will be emceeing the fashion show while music from acclaimed local DJ Raheim D’Andre entertains the event guests. Model hair services provided back stage will be by Kris Endreszl of Novi’s Sweet and Sassy Salon. After the show, Cuskell will be available to meet and greet guests and sign autographs.

For those interested in shopping after the show, the store will have a “Fashion Show Special” on October 1st with all red-tagged items on sale for 99 cents.

Proceeds from Goodwill’s Fall Fashion Show support Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit employment education, training and placement programs that help unemployed Metro Detroiters earn jobs. Within the last two years, Goodwill Industries has helped nearly 2,400 individuals find jobs and events such as this one will hopefully help more people who are in need of work.

The prize this year is a “Hearts on Fire” diamond ring worth $20,000.  Participants must be in a team of two and be eager to rely on the clues given and the knowledge of the city.  Diamond Dash has brought over 1,000 people in the past so participants can expect to have some heavy competition this year. 

Immediately following the scavenger hunt, an after party will take place at Campus Martius.  Lunch will be provided to all participants and the winner will be announced by Detroit radio show Mojo in the Morning.

A glamorous night of delicious hors d’ourves, cocktails, dancing, networking and dancing has been planned just for you to celebrate healthy, beautiful skin. “This program was very fun for me to start, I remember when I was in elementary school NFL players would come visit us and I never forgot that, now that I am here in Detroit and have the opportunity to give back, I want to do that whenever possible”, says Williams.

Because last year’s game was such a success, Detroit Piston Charlie Villanueva joined in on the fun and challenged Williams to a NBA vs NFL players game.  What started out as a friendly challenge over Twitter between players led to a family fun event supporting two great causes and benefiting the unity of the community at the same time.

It’s time for the second annual Athletes Adopting Families for the Holidays event.  The event will take place at The Reserve in Birmingham on December 9, 2010.  The event will be hosted by Terry Foster, the voice of the #1 sports show in Detroit on 97.1, The Ticket.

This is the biggest Holiday fundraiser event ever for the Adopt-A-Family program where local supporters  are making a difference for those in need. The Adopt-A-Family for Christmas program is run by the Volunteers of America  and is known for matching families in need with individual and corporate sponsors who “adopt” them for the Holidays.  The families will receive donations of new clothes and toys for each child and food for everyone in the family.

The AAF event is open to everyone who would like to enjoy a celebrity fashion show by Golden Hanger Designs,  meet and greet  some of the best professional athletes in the city and enjoy great eats and good tunes throughout the entire evening. Local female celebrities will grace the runway.
