The open casting call is for those who are  looking for a once in a lifetime opportunity to get involved in the world of high fashion runway modeling.  Models must audition Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Katerina Bocci Design Studio in Shelby Twp, Michigan.  Models are asked to arrive camera ready and will be asked to walk for Katerina Bocci herself and possibly try on one of her fanbulous designs. Filming in Detroit/ JR Galactic Productions will be filming the casting call as part of a new reality TV pilot so please be sure to arrive on time. Models chosen will be asked to model for Katerina in a fashion show on May 19, 2011 in Grosse Point, Michigan an and several upcoming shows in Toronto, Michigan and New York Fashion Week.

Fashion lovers can enjoy great deals during the sidewalk sales and can even enjoy looks from top Michigan designers including  Cynthia LaMaide, dress designer Katerina Bocci and fashion designer, Joe Faris of the hit T.V. show Project Runway on Style Sunday.  Style Sunday is sponsored by Styleline Magazine and will be hosted by Michigan native Suzanne Sena.  Suzanne is known for her work on E! Channel, CBS, and Extra.  She has also interviewed Hollywood’s elite on the red carpet of the Oscars and Emmys and has even been nominated for an Emmy herself as the host of Celebrity Homes on E! Runway Salon and Spa also supported the event by providing some of their best team members to “Glam” the models up with up do’s and avant garde make up.   Runway’s Glam team,  who truly loves what they do, really stepped it up for the event.  

Usually at events like this, charities only receive a portion of the proceeds made, but all of the proceeds from this event were donated to The Turning Point.  Several times backstage, while the models were dressing, Katerina was quick to remind the girls to listen to  the speech that was being given out on stage.  Obviously a charity Katerina strongly supports and respects, her professionalism and kind heart proved this event meant more to her than advertising.  “It’s important”, she told everyone back stage. 

Katerina is a true designer indeed, but even more, a great person who cares and is willing to help others when she can, and to us, that’s Glamorous!
